Pooryorick
Well-Known Forumite
He seems to identify cyclists as the enemy now, whereas it used to be cars and trucks. Either way, it's amazing that no-one has been hurt.

Just out of interest, is this the guy I hear shouting piss off in the middle of the afternoon ?
Shops in sainsbury regularly. Last saw him 2 days ago. Very lovely when in sainsbury despite spitting and punching my car on various other occasions.Bit meta replying to a thread created by my old account but anyone seen this fella lately? Been a couple of years since I have.
Absolutely and worth noting that I wouldn't have worded the opening post in this thread in quite the same way if I wrote it now.Was 'angry cyclisted' a couple of weeks ago. Not worth mentioning on here.
We all know he has 'issues' best if spotted to give him a wide berth if possible and let him get on with his life on his terms.
I maintain my position on this, the public have a right to feel safe when out and about minding their own business, and the rights of the majority override the rights of this one man, despite his illness. He shouldn't be allowed to go round abusing people or scaring them.Last couple of times I have seen him he's been shouting abuse at pedestrians while he's being riding on the pavement along Foregate Street.
I don't think he's making people feel unsafe per se but understand people may feel uncomfortable about his actions and attitude.I maintain my position on this, the public have a right to feel safe when out and about minding their own business, and the rights of the majority override the rights of this one man, despite his illness. Are you referring to physical harm cos make no mistake he causes emotional harm and distress to others regularly. Women on their own are very scared of him and his verbal abuse and gesticulating. Are you saying that's OK so long as he doesn't batter someone?I don't think he's making people feel unsafe per se but understand people may feel uncomfortable about his actions and attitude.
So I'm sorry but until this guy actually causes any harm to anyone, I say live and let live.
The only person I can see being hurt is the guy himself to be honest.
No of course not but when I've seen him he's just shouting and swearing at random cars and putting himself in danger. Are you referring to physical harm cos make no mistake he causes emotional harm and distress to others regularly. He's absolutely lovely in person, I speak from very close contact. He was shopping this morning and you would be pushed to find a nicer customer. No of course not but when I've seen him he's just shouting and swearing at random cars and putting himself in danger.
The guy obviously needs help and give him a bit of slack is all I'm really saying.
I've known him for years. Off the bike he is lovely. I don't believe he can help how he is. There by the Grace of God and all that. Bloke needs empathy not slagging off. He's absolutely lovely in person, I speak from very close contact. He was shopping this morning and you would be pushed to find a nicer customer.
I find it's very sad that he has such different attitudes/personalities. I've been on the receiving end of both, and now just give him a massive wide berth when he's on his bike.
Is anyone slagging him off? He scares people, and for those of us not well versed in mental illness it can be quite traumatic when he comes at you swearing, shouting and gesticulating.I've known him for years.
