I had a euphemism once, but penicillin made it go away.Is that a euphemism?
You old sea dogs and what you got up to in those exotic ports ehI had a euphemism once, but penicillin made it go away.
I've never even heard of the Sunshine Bar in Mombasa but I'm going to hazard a guess that it's not known for its poetry readings and crochet competitions.I only ever visited libraries and museums and places of culture like the Sunshine Bar in Mombasa ...... (OH SHIT what a giveaway ....)
(cough.)
So I did a search for it. Doesn't feature in any of the "10 Best Bars in Mombasa" type websites but gets a mention on Ships Nostalgia and appears on Navy Net. Not necessarily advisable to follow those links.I've never even heard of the Sunshine Bar in Mombasa
You did them all in one night?Better than the other ten, take it from me ...
Living in the past is preferable when the present is so unpalatable.

Is it to do with missing Battle of Britain day this year?Anyone know why there was a two minute silence at 20.00 tonight?
Not trying to be disrespectful but I'm not following or even in the slightest bit interested in the formal procedure but just seemed strange why there was a silence.
Edward VII only did nine years.it's something we won't see again in our lifetime, but I think we might. King Charles III is already 73, so our generation may be the only generation to see 2 royal monarchs funerals.
