From 17/3/2018 in the previous 'Mundane' thread.

Just noticed that today's Google doodle has "Google" in Ogham on the "L" - that is very niche...

I found this modern stone a few weeks ago, with Ogham script and Roman numerals, which would spook an archaeologist, if they fell for it.

Spotting a high viz jacketed bloke kneeling on the pavement by our water meter hole , watched as the Severn Trent worker then went on to just stand above each other one in the street to take readings ( I assume).

Intrigued as to why its only ours he had to get down & peer into the hole. :hmm:

Been taking our own weekly readings since the water saga, to make sure no more massive leaks. So nipped out quickly after to make sure ours match the bill that's due!
Had enough drama with it this past year, don't want any more dealings with again:roll:

The Great Unwashed Jesus Looking Thing from the back Bedroom has never seen Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. My flabber is gasted! I used to watch it when he was younger, but he's just informed me, he's never seen it and straight out hates Musicals.

Just tell him you're going to watch a film of an Ian Fleming book, but it's not one of those boring James Bond things.

I ain't seen chitty chatty bang bang either. Hubby doesn't believe me that I've not seen The Christmas Carol either . Said everyone at least knows the story..nope. ( I had to Google Marley the ghost once when someone mentioned it replying to my post).
And I Hate musicals as well! Never got past the first warbling of " The hills are alive" before switching off The sounds of music 😂

I've known for years he hates Mary Poppins (I love it) He won't watch Bedknobs and Broomsticks with me when I put the dvd on (One of my favourites).
I don't think I'll try pushing it for Calamity jane, or Oklahoma!

We now have a solar streetlight.

A bloke brought it a few days ago, dug a hole, adjusted the panel for the location, put it up and then went off.

It seems quite adequate. We'll see how it performs through the winter.

It matches the solar speed sign on the other side of the road.

Got some rather scary thunder here at the moment , along with torrential hail.

Hoping it stops before I head out for my zumbathon..

Can't get my head around all the youngsters knowing all the words , and dancing to , all the songs we danced to In the 70s/80s and thinking they are new ( they don't do the old 'proper' mowtown moves though...)
