I assume they have different customer 'orbits' - the one in the Hough is effectivly used as a cornershop fot a huge amount of houses (that's how we certainly use it), and they are building 100's more houses right behind it.

The Hunters Row one is the only one I ever use, coming into town from the station side.

Also, why would they close either of the other 2?? Surely the best thing to do is go with the 3 and see what happens??

Retail will continue to move out of town centres, they’re simply not good places for anything but small goods - the units are old and awkwardly shaped, the stock rooms are too small, getting stock in is a pain. Why would you ever want to have a store for anything more than relatively small products (I’m thinking Yum Yum and that place by the Guildhall) on a high street when a retail park unit is objectively better in every possible way and still offers excellent foot traffic?

The high street of old is dying, they need to become a hot bed for leisure and hospitality now.

Since when are kids allowed out at lunch? I remember a lot of opposition when the planning was put in for a KFC… do they just let them roam free now?
