Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

Yep, says that on the sign near Queens. I presume it'll take a while to recruit, get the fixtures and fittings up to spec, get the stock. Plus they probably have a few months left on the Hough site lease? (I presume that is closing?).
Overheard someone asking again the other day while I was in there - the Hough branch is not closing.

Mmmm.. Bigger than the one in the guildhall; do they sell/stock enough to fill it? I guessed we'll see. Personally love sifting for bargains, and then asking the Cashier, "how much"? I understand there is sometimes a variation in prices, so if it ever was a giggle, it's less so now! Bummer!

Yeah, that will be on the small size compared to some I've been round recently.

So does the Lord Nelson.
( oh, that's not a shop )

The current Lord Nelson of Stafford ( Alistair )

Appears to live in Yorkshire

Perhaps he fancies opening a wine bar ( really trendy - there’s one called Props somewhere in town )

And who could blame him with all those rich English Electric workers and their wives

Is it still 1979?
