OK. You have made your.point, as you invariably do. Sometimes though, people misunderstand, make errors or aren't 100 percent perfect. It happens and some times things aren't clearly defined. My hope is I attain perfection like yourself.Yes indeed "don't ever admit you got caught speeding because you didn't know what the limit was".
That's almost as daft as saying you've driven somewhere to test your eyesight.
Respect speed limits, use public transport, cycle, walk or stay at home.
Mr Perfection, pickled in his own crap beer.Yes indeed "don't ever admit you got caught speeding because you didn't know what the limit was".

Spend more time in pubs.My hope is I attain perfection like yourself.
On the a34 yesterday a taxi accelerated past me, slammed its brakes on at the camera, then accelerated again despite it being less than a minute to the next camera (at which I saw the expected brake lights again).Motoring through Cheshire yesterday these new cameras seemed more or less continuous for several miles and vehicles were keeping to the speed limit and so they appear to be working well and I saw none of the dangerous sudden breaking that's been a feature of the old yellow box camaras. That definitely suggests an improvement to me. Maybe some of that HS2 money could be used to install more of them.
Yes, but isn't that the "sudden breaking that's been a feature of the old yellow box camaras" that's far less likely with the new cameras that seem more or less continuous for several miles ?On the a34 yesterday a taxi accelerated past me, slammed its brakes on at the camera, then accelerated again despite it being less than a minute to the next camera (at which I saw the expected brake lights again).
I find it quite amusing when drivers speed through average speed camera sections (which I presume you're referring to by "continuous") then slam their brakes on when they see the next camera.Yes, but isn't that the "sudden breaking that's been a feature of the old yellow box camaras" that's far less likely with the new cameras that seem more or less continuous for several miles ?
Usually cos you didn't see the first one and are now wondering if this is cam 1 or 2!I find it quite amusing when drivers speed through average speed camera sections (which I presume you're referring to by "continuous") then slam their brakes on when they see the next camera.
Seems that a lot of drivers have no clue what average speed means.
Yeah, they do keep flow much better. But our government have a better plan, can't speed if your suspension is knackered by the potholes!Yes, but isn't that the "sudden breaking that's been a feature of the old yellow box camaras" that's far less likely with the new cameras that seem more or less continuous for several miles ?
Just had my suspension fixed, probably due to my own fault not avoiding pot holes.Usually cos you didn't see the first one and are now wondering if this is cam 1 or 2!

They are, it's the meat sack holding the steering wheel, sadly 100% uncompliantRather than upgrading all these speed cameras wouldn't it be better for all motor vehicles, or at least all new ones, to be fitted with governors that limited them to the permitted speed ?
Have you ever driven or rode a speed-limited vehicle? I have, they aren't pleasant to drive or ride and in certain situations - dangerous.Rather than upgrading all these speed cameras wouldn't it be better for all motor vehicles, or at least all new ones, to be fitted with governors that limited them to the permitted speed ?
i haven't and expect they take some getting used to.Have you ever driven or rode a speed-limited vehicle? I have, they aren't pleasant to drive or ride and in certain situations - dangerous.
It's more your ability to avoid an object, with 125 motorbikes it's harder to get out of a bad situation than on say a 500 as you have less power available.i haven't and expect they take some getting used to.
I don't understand how they might be dangerous if the deceleration wasn't too great.
You're late to the party and behind in the technology on this one.Rather than upgrading all these speed cameras wouldn't it be better for all motor vehicles, or at least all new ones, to be fitted with governors that limited them to the permitted speed ?
Thank you. I hadn't heard that news. You're late to the party and behind in the technology on this one.
