Today I shall be mostly eating at OK Diner in Cannock. Taking the eldest and the daughter in law from hell, youngest is being a git, and doesn't want to mingle.
This meal has been planned since before the lockdown started. I intend to enjoy every mouthfull.

"OK" suggests only adequate rather than food you could actually "enjoy".

It was bloody lovely. Eldest and I both had a Bacon cheeseburger, mine came without tomato, onions and the gherkin, his without the tomato and onion. He got a mahoosive slab of gherkin, food of the devil that shit is.
Daughter in law from hell had the Yankee Doodle Dandy, basically pancakes, eggs, bacon and hash browns smothered in shite maple syrup. He had endless coffee, whilst I had the bottomless tea - 4 pots and counting, 2 cups per pot. She had limitless Sprite. In all a very nice meal out for the 3 of us. Youngest is still being a git and is still in bed.

Went for an unwanted city break to Manchester this weekend (had tickets booked to see Elton John - old codger fell and broke his hip - concert cancelled - flights and hotel pre-booked and non refundable!!!)

So I ate every takeaway I could get my hands on as there is nothing up here!

So this weekend I had for dinner / tea / lunch:

- Sweet potato and feta tacos
- Pizza
- Vegetable spring rolls
- Pasta in a creamy carbonara sauce
- Indian takeaway (samosas, bajhis, garlic naan, chickpea dahl & rice)
- Cuban tapas (halloumi, quesadillas, patas bravas etc)
- Pie & Mash from of Pieminister
-Cake

Needless to say diet starts today!

Sounds delicious! Hope Manchester was still interesting without Elton John.

Yesterday we had a nice homemade chilli!

I've found if I give it to my husband just with rice and salad it gets a 'Ugh it's healthy' moan...

However if I deliver the exact same meal with a sprinkle of cheese on top it gets 5 star reviews!

Honestly!!!

Tonight I have tutoring so tea will be some carb cheese laden delight!

Joint effort tonight, I'm making Sloppy Joe's with lattice wedges, and earlier the carer made some jalepeno & cheddar cornbread to go with it..... I've not had cornbread before, and it was much more cakey than bready.... Delicious though!
