Can't you still drop it in the box (paper version) like you used to? Ours was on the wall outside.
Used to put an old prescription repeat thingy in the Stafford doctors. But means catching a bus down if these actually still let you do that. Had to hand write every item when we first got down here. Dont get copies of the prescriptions to fill in in this pharmacy. 18 items is a lot to stand in the surgery writing when my right hand isn't working properly to hold a pen.

(18 between both of us , not just me)

Going to try again tomorrow...

Can't your pharmacy put the request in for you ?

It's hard enough collecting the meds they've put up already from our nominated Tesco Pharmacy. Don't seem to have a very good system , takes them aaaaaaaaages to actually find them , even though they've texted to say ready each month

Got too used to Ash & his team in Wildwood pharmacy being super efficient ! Really missing that good service ( tried several around here and gone back to Tesco as they're the best of the worse)

Trying online again tomorrow .......

Yay! Finally got account unlocked tonight....meds now ordered .

All I need to do now is get this bloody finger sorted and hopefully get rid of the splint/cast thingy by the time we go on holiday in a few weeks :hmm:

The "at least another 4 weeks" at last appt , making it 12 weeks since the fall, is the day we go away. Dreading that next appointment now :hmm:.

(And hubby has just had a hospital MRI scan come through for the morning we go away , bloody typical!!! Hoping all will be well enough to shoot off down to Weymouth straight after that.... )

Please keep those fingers crossed folks ! ;) :D

That "our nominated Tesco Pharmacy. Don't seem to have a very good system , takes them aaaaaaaaages to actually find them" will be because 'supermarkets' can be a 'Jack of all trades, master of none'.
The staff at Weston Road Pharmacy usually notice me walk through the door, reach for my repeat prescription and it's nearly on the counter by the time I reach it.

Sadly even the smaller pharmacists around here have been crap.Been waiting ages with others in queues only to be told it's still not ready and to come back another day. A couple of them have given us way out of date meds(then the one even the replacements came in out of date!).
At least so far Tesco have given usable ones with decent dates. That's when they have them in....

Kept changing and changing over the past 18 months , even going into town for pharmacies and none give the good service of the Stafford ones.

Same as Bridle Rd Post Office , used to be a pleasure going into there. Our local one is a right dragon and decides what she can and can't do on the day!

I agree about Cannock Road Post Office on Bridle Road, one of the few that really know what they're doing.

Now waiting at pharmacy again for antibiotics, after going to hubby's heart nurse appt with him and her spotting my still badly infected broken finger and saying needing immediate attention.
With no GP appts available when I rang doctors , mentioning her name packed a punch & soon had a GP contacting me requesting photos of finger.

I've recovered from major surgeries quicker than this bloody finger is taking! 10 weeks since fall now.

Must be a well practiced phrase to work here at the pharmacy " It'll be 15 minutes or more , if you can come back then".

Bought 2 cream cakes last times wait after wandering around the store .Not folding this time! Feet firmly stuck to the floor while I wait.

Have you bought sticky buns instead this time then? 🤣
What I failed to say was I bought 4 sticky hot cross buns as well as the 2 cream cakes last time. They made it home though! The 2 cream doughnuts got eaten before , I was there that long (I did hang onto the receipt in my hand though while I walked out with the box 😂 )

Being good today though , until Mr Sexy Zumba instructor treats all to a drink in the pub after class tonight as it's his easter break 😁

@Studio Tan, Thanks for the tip, tried it today, brilliant, now i can use the Isobel trail no matter what the floods are like.
Since the floods I have been arriving at the Beaconside Road from Sandon Road. turning right up Beaconside Road to the big is;land and turning left into town before beating my way along Weston Road to home by the Hospital..
I often went through the graveyard to Eccleshall Road to visit my Aunt who was in a care home along there, that grave yard is massive..
