if anything they should start it half an hour earlier and actively encourage people to watch question time after. would be quite odd to see one broadcaster telling you to then go watch their competitors, but would be brilliant if they did, especially given the current political climate and need for people to be aware of such things as UK Uncut...

I'm not overly 'up' on the situation with Crimewatch (ie whether it's weekly, monthly, quarterly etc) and Crimewatch update after the news, but one would've thought it might be prudent of the Beeb to shunt their schedule in accordance rather than the other way round.

It would indeed be brilliant if they did (not going to happen is it?).

The NOTW guy on last night really couldn't give a monkeys could he! Prescott moaning "so you think just because people are famous that gives you the right to illegally hack their voicemail", to which he just shrugged and said something like "Yeah, pretty much".

I am pleased that they seem to have given more time to the interviews and relaxed over the weeks. Last night's 'hang the bankers' and last week's interview were both good.

Laverne has grown on me as the weeks have gone by.

It's a shame Jimmy Carr is still allowed to stink up the place with his unfunny sketches and bad acting though.

Indeed this can be very hit and miss. Mostly miss unfortunately - the Grand National sketch was a proper stinker.

I think it has established itself quite well otherwise. I particularly like the way it is described in the TV listings as 'a light hearted' look at current events - it doesn't get much darker than Charlie Brooker's dissections.

Evidently so - blimey that was a short 15 weeks.

A bit hit and miss but with the emphasis on hit, if this doesn't get recommissioned i'll mange my chapeaux.

But only if the commissioners likewise eat theirs for dropping the ball.
