Possibly an indication that the writer is of Turkish origin, they have dots on some capitals 'I's - just a thought - where's the PandA Man, he's been quiet lately?

I like the trees, but living further up the street I have not had any ranty notes through my door. I feel quite sad and left out now. Have urge to become trees guerilla protector now, just need to sort out a costume and plan of attack...

Just sent SARH the following email in the hope that they will not hack them down because of one nutter.

Hi, my name is Pete Wearn and I am a tenant at <blank> Oxford Gardens. I've recently had a couple of slightly bizarre anonymous notes pushed through my door demanding I get in touch with you regarding the three trees at the bottom of my garden, from someone who is apparently unhappy with them.

I just wanted to make it clear that, whatever my neighbours' opinions, I'm perfectly happy to have the trees there, and I'd be sorry to see them go. They provide some much needed greenery and bring birds into my garden.
