Accident on Newport Road (518) at Westway turn

Drove by this morning taking my daughter to school. The Newport Road, Castle side of the Westway turn was closed due to a two car accident, one was on it's roof.

Anyone see what happened? Hopefully all involved are OK.

No idea, passed just after 9.30 am, cars off the road. Two cars on pavement, one a soft top sporty number, other a small car that had obviously turned over! No further details, sorry. Had heard it on 'Signal'
and was expecting traffic chaos, as reckoned West Way was involved on the radio!

Yeah, radio stated the road was closed in both directions but as it wasn't queuing past my house I thought I'd give it a try. Luckily I could get up Westway.

Didn't see the accident, saw one of the cars loaded on a trailer some time after- looked quite kersplatted.

Not kersplatted enough for fatalities, one would have thought, but i wouldn't have wanted to be in it.

Heard a rumour that there was another crash in almost exactly the same place later in the day (early evening time)?

Not sure how true that is?

You'd think people on this forum would have learned not to wildly speculate on the cause of accidents, considering that last time it resulted in a distressed family member signing up to bollock you all.

I think that's what someone tried to tell me as well, but I couldn't understand their Stafford accent.
