Nope, I just go to a sign into Google page and I'm not going to do that. For your original post I get the little broken photo symbol like a torn piece of paper -

I'm pretty sure you have to use the URL that is generated when you do the 'share'. If you've shared the album you wont have a 'shareable' link per image. Try just sharing an individual image. Even then, they may be employing some hotlink protection to preventing you from using google photos for that purpose.

So, it appears that I can't embed easily from google photos but the same photos are on picassa where I can. The link on picassa goes to googleusercontent.com which I believe is google plus? Bloody longwinded way of doing it!

@tek-monkey have you tried to "share" an individual photo and use the link generated from that? I can see you've shared the album and I can access that, however, that just gives you the token to the album.

Got the waterproof COB lights mentioned previously, and also an 8 AA battery holder to provide more portable power. Seems to work just as well as a mains transformer, not sure how long for but....

Not used those particular bulbs, but I got some SMD style over a year ago for the kitchen and only lost 2 so far (one within weeks, the other last week). Luckily I ordered 10 and only needed 8 so still going strong!

I've had cause to replace some bulbs for someone. As they are in three-bulb, chain hung chandeliers, with shades that clip on, it is necessary to have GLS-shaped bulbs, to avoid having to butcher the shades.

Until recently, the GLS-shaped LED bulbs all seem to have had a distinct bias to throw the light away from the base, which isn't ideal for ceiling mounted bulbs that have the base at the bottom.

These filament-style, clear-glass bulbs seemed worth a try and do seem to work quite well - significantly greater light output than the 40 watt incandescents that they replace.
