Same principle, lower tech, smaller spread.

And rightly so because it shouldn't have been there in the first place.

If we had less restrictions and (particularly) less traffic lights round this town then traffic would flow much easier and pollution and blood pressure would fall.
But, then, what would we be paying these people to do?

Actually, the initial system could be quite exciting, if followed - people coming in from Riverway would rarely be anticipating a full circle of the roundabout to be the intention of somebody (apparently) going the other way, and would sail onto the roundabout anyway - I saw a few near misses.

Enjoying a drop of red.

Well we could always sack them for utter incompetence. Oh no, it's the public sector so that'll never happen.

In which case I'd sooner pay them to do feck-all than pay them to feck-up!

You'll have little chance of turning right out of this.

That looks like it could be a pelican crossing*, which could give you a chance, if the inbound queuers don't block you...

*but, it could just be tactile paving and a suicide crossing.

17th March.
Yep, Saw signs outside Aldi saying 17th March. All the fixtures, chip & pin machines etc were already in last week when I passed. ..

The roadwork warning signs at the top of Radford Bank say roadworks in that stretch for period 8 feb-18 March . They didn't actually start until 15th Feb, so if they run over a week it should be fun!
