I think that you will find that as the parties have now selected their candidates and the real campaigning gets under way you will get more coverage.

Is this really happening ! Or are we watching 'American Horror Story Season 6 : The Republican Presidential Candidate' ? I often wonder what the American intelligentsia make of it all. Trump has singlehandedly put every political satirist out of a job ! The whole thing is both hilarious - and terrifying - in equal measure. Did you ever imagine that the megalomaniac with the orange bouffant who chaired the U.S. version of 'The Apprentice' might get his (little) fingers on the nuclear button ?

We are about to start paying for a new nuclear button and we still have Boris available.

I was wondering whether - with earlier talk of Boris as PM - that there might be some sort of apocalyptic alignment of the stars coming into play that would see Trump as President and Boris as PM - like a kind of doomsday version of the Corsican Brothers !

Boris has the qualifications to stand for US president - he was born in New York and is a US citizen.


I'm not sure if there is any specific legal block on being UK Prime Minister and US President at the same time....

Nothing wrong with "alternative candidates" per se, of course - Ming the Merciless woke the Dáil up a bit a few years back.
