Is your missus on O2? If she signs up for their bluebook thingamy it'll save all of her messages on the website and she can re-read all of her messages and even send them to her phone again if she wants. I can't see the point of it myself but some people must use it.

If you're so scared of changing just to an iPhone, I'd steer clear of the whole PC to Mac crossover for awhile!

Ah no the HTC is a windows mobile 6.1 device. Its alright, I'm not hugely enthusiastic bout touchflo but windows itself functions fine. Acts just like real windows, does what you tell it, multi tasks and occasionally won't do something and gives incomprehensible error messages lol

As per furbal's comment, I also literally cannot think of a reason to go back to old style messaging, the conversation facility is great. I was trying to find a message on an old Nokia 3310 not so long ago and it was a ballache. Although the OS is faster than my HTC lol

Looking forward to gettin an iPhone too but I can't for at least another 9 months

Jut got the HTC Hero or G2 (whatever you want to call it) and despite being very weary of the G and all their monopolistic/data-mining tendencies this thing is so slick I'll happily give them my soul.

Rooted it yesterday, wirelessly tethered it to my FACE, then me, my lappy, my G2 and MyFace rode the information super-highway like a bat out of hell.

root the firmware and you basically have root-user access to a very capable & mod-able linux based OS.

There is a big community of developers creating new and interesting apps and unlike the iPhone a vast majority of the apps on the android market are free, open source & constantly improved.

I sound like a fanboy... the shame!

Just a shame you can buy the covers anywhere cheaply, I don't really want it in pink.

i've been harping on about the Hero for a while round here.. i haven't rooted it (lolz "rooted" ) cos it's the missus who has it, not me, and there's no good reason for any of those shenaigans for her that i can see.. still, a lovely little phone!
