Our Broadband been down completely for over 2 days and they reckon it was a fault in the ST17 area (neighbour could strangely get hers though).
Kept getting promises of several times I'd be up and running again, the time came and nothing. Apparently they prioritize the jobs, so the priorities kept changing!!!!!!! My present contract up today so ringing up elsewhere before I ring them armed with ammunition.Been with them 7 years but getting a bit fed up with the unreliability.
I am on the ST17 area and i have no problems.

I know someone else that has had issues the last few days. What package are you currently on, I'll see what I can find as a comparison for you to help get a better deal. Also, is there anyone else in your house that can take out the contract? Often helps cancelling then rejoining as someone else, I do this most years!

EDIT: £80 - 120 cashback from BT at the min: http://www.topcashback.co.uk/bt_total_broadband/
Virigin offering £30 - £75: http://www.topcashback.co.uk/virgin_media/

As well as me ringing them,Son was checking the status via his t-mobile phone internet , but that was a bad signal yesterday as well so extortionately slow.

Got a good deal with Virgin last year after hubby telling them to cancel it. . Had the virgin person on speaker on the landline, hubby on speaker on my mobile and the argument went on between them until, instead of the price increase they had announced,we ended up getting the price reduced and more TV channels than previously.

Looking on my account today it looks like that lower price has still been applied for next months bill.............. hanging fire a bit before I ring them ;)

Been having a right to-do with VM upanddownness for the last few months in this house. Doesn't tend to bother me cos am at work during the day, but if Mrs Wookie doesn't get her Facebook/WoW/Skype fix, she tends to get a bit ratty.
I've taken to going upstairs where there's a guitar but not a computer this last week.

I pay £20.50 for 30Mb but I don't have the TV or the phone line... we literally just have their broadband and nothing else. If anyone else has JUST broadband from VM I'd be keen to know what you pay for what speed please if you don't mind sharing that publicly.

Regarding the Superhub, Andreas, complaining that you were forever having to reboot your modem might have got you one sent out for free ;) (worked for us / friends / family)
I pay £22.49 for the same.

When it's working, that is... I'm looking at other suppliers now because I've discovered that VM internet is a big pile of steaming shite. If I'm paying for internet access at home, I don't expect to have to ring up every couple of weeks (twice yesterday) because it isn't farking working!
