Isn't this the fifth or sixth time 02 has catastrophically died without warning in the last few years? I distinctly remember them dying after the release of both the iPhone and iPhone 2. And also sometime last year.

Considering they're also the most expensive network out there it begs the question how are they still in business?

It's like people having landlines actually rented from BT.

Utter madness.

Mine was off last night - then on about 11. Off all morning - but had half a dozen messages come through about half hour ago. :ohno:

I lost network coverage just after half one yesterday afternoon. Got through to O2 tech support who told me it was a problem affecting certain numbers only. I was slightly concerned as Mrs Dabbler is also with O2 and has the same handset as me and had no problems t all. My service was restored this morning at about 8.30, along with half a dozen messages for my business that I missed yesterday. Yesterday afternoon was the most productive I've been for ages without the interruption of the phone!

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
Signal disappeared about 3.30pm yesterday and only got it back consistently at 8am when I switched off 3G.

I've been having issues with them for months. I will be leaving at the end of my contract which, unfortunately, ends in 16 months time.

Smaller, cheaper networks piggy back off the O2 network such as Gifgaff and Tesco Mobile.
A lot of banking networks also use it to process payments, apparently. O2 must make a big chunk of money renting that out.

Also, people are stupid.

Enjoying a drop of red.
I don't know if O2 have had issues again today or if it was localised to where I was this afternoon but the signal has been on-off-on-off all afternoon. Been driving me mad!!
