I wandered round to see how much the ponds were holding, as there often seems to be little in there while the road is flooded, but they are both essentially full. It's little more than an inch below spilling in the lower one and is spilling over both weirs in the top one.

The water is not of the 'best quality' and the smell may be what's persuaded almost all the ducks to leave.

This is just Marston Brook, of course. What is going on with Sandyford Brook is beyond my remit, as I don't speak the dialect of the tribes up that valley, and there is very little to actually see anyway.

If we/they keep chucking in amounts of water above the capacity, this is what will happen...

The feeder lakes above Lake Sandon have returned much to normal levels now.

And The Isabel Trail was looking almost summery.

I see that a new memorial bench has appeared by the Upper Lake.

It was solid enough to get right out into the middle of the Lower Lake for these.

The flush of spring growth freshens the place up at this time of year.

Yeah, it surprised me that there was no report last year, but I think it was so associated with the flooding that it got put into the Lake Sandon thread.
