I wandered round to see how much the ponds were holding, as there often seems to be little in there while the road is flooded, but they are both essentially full. It's little more than an inch below spilling in the lower one and is spilling over both weirs in the top one.

The water is not of the 'best quality' and the smell may be what's persuaded almost all the ducks to leave.

This is just Marston Brook, of course. What is going on with Sandyford Brook is beyond my remit, as I don't speak the dialect of the tribes up that valley, and there is very little to actually see anyway.

If we/they keep chucking in amounts of water above the capacity, this is what will happen...

God you missed one there Glam, from 2023 to today was ripe for your “Holy” …….
Yeah, it surprised me that there was no report last year, but I think it was so associated with the flooding that it got put into the Lake Sandon thread.
