Barn Owl!

Just had a Barn Owl in our back garden in Baswich. It was a bit disorientated, but eventually flew away towards the Cannock Road area. This winter has been particularly harsh for Barn Owls, and I've read that up to 50% of the Barn Owl population could be wiped out due to lack of available food.

So, if any of you see Barn Owls in your garden and they're in bad shape, please go carefully & if they are injured, the RSPCA would be a good point of contact.

Did anyone else hear about the study which says that birds in areas where people put plenty of food out for them are getting up later (to be fair only by an hour or so) They know they don't need to work as hard for their food so can have a lie-in.

fat balls with mice in? might be the way to go...
