They have felled quite a few trees on there today.
That’s really ‘let the light in’ - looks strange approaching the top of Radford Bank. There is /was an enormous pile of tree trunks on the Cannock Rd side and a huge chipper making a horrendous noise across the whole neighbourhood. Wonder if they’ve removed any trees they weren’t supposed to ? (“Wasn’t us it was the contractor”). The subsequent fines wouldn’t matter on a multi million £ development.
A Sunday job, so little chance of being caught before the job was done...Were you around for them knocking down BRC overnight?
I recall hearing that that was a listed building and therefore naughty.
Maybe they're fenced off because they are "dangerous" and may have to be felled for "safety" reasons..?Looks like they're trying to prevent "accidents" from happening, few well established beauties have been fenced-off.

I understand that it wasn't actually listed at the time, but there was a tip-off that waiting until the Monday might change that situation..
There was an old cottage that had been moved when the factory was built - I imagine that disappeared as well. That rings a bell.
As I heard the story they demolished with all the furniture in it to save time.

It can be seen towards the lower right here - https://www.search.staffspasttrack....72&PageIndex=1&KeyWord=reinforced&SortOrder=2 - by the small car park. I do seem to remember being told that it had been dismantled and rebuilt there when the factory was built. There was an old cottage that had been moved when the factory was built - I imagine that disappeared as well.
