They're saying it'll be a couple of months before it's open.
I believe there may be one in Newcastle? (Mmm, this may have been a transient event).
I wonder if it could be a re-vamp of Kenny's, or is the place that had the banner up since 2011 still available?

It’s Not the same logo as the one from Leeds/Notts etc that keeps going bust and then starts up again with the same ‘ owners ‘
Which would imply that the brand name isn’t trademarked, or that you just add a small town to BIERKELLER to avoid such

Well I think we can probably rule out a few of those straight away
Slaters is a vape and snack shop,
If I understand correctly the Nelson is being done up for a charity organisation,
The Judge is occupied by Asylum seekers or the like,
The Tavern needs too much work on it to make it safe and useable.
My money is on Poptastic or whatever it’s called these days or Butler's Bell but who knows?
Wherever it is it will be good to see something new opening in town if it does open.

Interesting situation with regards to the Nelson. No planning application for change of use so strictly still a pub. (no change of use applications for Slater's Bar either)
Lots of planning applications made for the Tavern, most with a bar or restaurant on the ground floor, but all have been rejected.

Confirmed that it’s going to be in the downstairs of Couture in the Poptastic side as they’ve had a massive insurance payout due to water damage!

So an insurance payout due to water damage is "massive" enough to fund such an extensive refurbishment ? Interesting.
I can't really believe that Tim has received a "massive" payout every time his Picture House has been flooded and that's why he's kept it rather than the Butlers Bell.

Seems the water damage was an internal flood from a pipe and damaged massive screens etc and the PA system so very likely tbh
