Seems the water damage was an internal flood from a pipe and damaged massive screens etc and the PA system so very likely tbh
Indeed the pop machine upstairs literally popped , and was let unsupervised till the fire alarm and cameras went off the next day. Seeing as the lighting rig alone was in the tens of thousands , along with the damage to the bar, floors , electrics, loss of earnings. It quickly mounted up.

The room had to be gutted and stripped back to brick.

We were due to refurb next year anyway, but just bought it forward.

This is what's left of one of the rooms.

Brings back memories, I worked through the Zanzibar refurb so saw it all in a similar state!
