Not surprised its a great pub. I was there yesterday for a fantastic carvery. I was with a party of 10. The back room was full.

So, to be clear, you're saying that in the same week that @tek-monkey & I were both drinking in the Bird, it had it's best trading week?

Almost certainly not.
This is all adding up...Nah, I think you will find it was a few nights before when @tek-monkey and @andreasrex sat at my table and we significantly increased the takings

I ate there last noght and it was pretty rammed.
A couple of us paid a visit here last night, we had to leave as the stench of fart gas ( as my mate put it) or eggs was just horrific.
Same smell the vine had a couple of years ago when they had problems with the drains. Not nice
