We're currently in North Yorkshire and whilst back on the motherland I was treated to this yesterday for the first time in over 20 years...

Does anyone know if any of the chippies in Stafford do them??

Scraps in Coventry 20 odd years ago.

No idea what our local chippy serves (Northern Lights) - everytime we go it closed!

Not sure if they do them, but Britannia Fish Bar on First Avenue is my go to chip shop at the minute. Generally cooking the fish to order, so at least you know its nots been sitting for a while

Not seen batter bits for 40 years, used to be a penny a bag , on Pitcher bank.

I think you'll find that's what mini fish looks like in a lot of Stafford chippies. A tiny piece of fish meat surrounded by a bucket of batter.

I was due to sample some scraps this evening; but the fish and chip shop stopped frying by the time we got there, only 40 minutes before closing. Blooming northerners
