I see why this would wind you up but in all honesty, one would expect, in this day and age, anyone applying for this type of position to have a very similar LinkedIn profile.

Yes it's complete bollocks, but it's what gets you through to the interview stage.

One would hope that at interview, all the flannel would be carefully unpicked so as to see each candidate for what they actually are and from that the best candidate selected.

Whether that happened or not we cannot say as we weren't privy to the interview or the decision making process.

Time will tell I suppose, though if he's anything like his predecessors it will end up being rather depressing.

Give him a chance to lynch himself or not before you place the noose round his neck.
