Break-in at Back2Bikes.

My bike was down there being serviced when they had the break in. I was hoping it had been nicked as it's a cheap rubbish Halfords special. No such luck, it's still there.

I couldn't believe it when they told me. Who would steal from a charity.

They are handy for people after something affordable or a spare part. Some of the bikes are quite good but many of them are pretty cheap so I don't know why they would break in there? must be after scrap metal.

I suppose it is an easy target and it is slightly secluded around there.

You'd be suprised. Alot of charities get hit because people think 'they got their stuff for free so they're not really losing out'. Thats why Oxfam keeps getting robbed.

Newsletter article - eyes skinned, people - B2B is one of Stafford's gems.
Absolutely agree. I have bought 4 bikes from them, all of them great value and still in use (though not by me). Their recent stock included new electric and folding bikes. Fairly distinctive, so watch out for a chav near you on some unusual transport - most likely using the pavement, legs akimbo!

What a shame they stole from a charity.

Perhaps they could have a fund raising event to try and recover some of the losses. I would suggest a jail break. A few teams of the volunteers would start from Stafford prison at 9am and see how far they could get with no money in 36 hours. It would be a chance to test their power of persuasion and charm. Along the way you make it obvious you are raising money and spend it where appropriate. Can you blag some flights ? Do you pay from donations for flights ? Do you just hitch ?

Its really bad isn't it. Its a nice little charity. The sad truth is I wouldn't be surprised if it was ripped off for the sake of a few hundred quids worth of scrap metal.

Stab them, preferably in the face several times. Got any more details on the actual bikes taken? If I see one I'll be sure to follow the **** home and let the police know. I'd rather break their knees then set fire to their feet, but I'd never admit that on a public forum.

Absolute scutters, yet if you did remove their fingers with a pair of bolt cutters it's you who gets in trouble. The world is mad :(

Good news, went round to B2B today to see if they were able to service a hub gear and they have already recovered the electric bike which was stolen. The dick-head scumbags who had stolen it did not have the wit to take the the charger so it's new "owner" was spotted laboriously trundling along not far from the shop. The police are involved and the case is developing nicely.

I do love a bit of wishy washy left wing soft as shit hug a hoodie bullshit justice.

It really helps to keep crime down, stops reoffending too, y'know?

Having the threat of ten, perhaps even fifteen hours of community service is really putting the willies up these would-be criminals.
