Anyone know what's going on at the moment?

Police are blocking the street off for cars, and our EPX offices are at the Reynolds Centre. not particularly wanting to get trapped!

The two little houses just outside here are apparently the ones involved.

I walked down there just before 5 and there was 3 police cars (one arriving) and 2 ambulance cars. They had a bunch of ambulance people standing around talking amongst themselves, and one police officer was up near a unit at the back, behind the garage, and another was communicating from the road with hand gestures. A hostage situation is far too exotic for Stafford but that's sorta what it looked like... they were a bit cavalier about it though, they let me walk up close without issue...

I wish I had binoculars, I have a sort-of direct view from my apartment but the distance is an issue, they've just loaded someone into an ambulance from what I can tell.

edit: actually, is that an ambulance? maybe it's something else. They opened it, were getting in and out, then closed it.
