Hi Guys. Sorry for not posting at the time, and only just back in from work. The lad had recently started work at General Traffic as a delivery rider on his moped. Not wanting to publicise the finer details but a car turned into his path and he hit it head on. When we got to him we moved his scooter as it was leaking fuel, checked his vitals and called the ambulance. The staff at Browning st surgery were out and attending to him immediately and along with the staff from Browning st Pharmacy gave him first rate care until the ambulance crews took over. Total credit to them all for their response and efforts. From being submerged in the humdrum of their day jobs to responding in the way they did was nothing short of spectacular. He was airlifted to Birmingham after being stabilised. My thoughts are with him and his family who we at the garage know well (as customers). If any of you out there are of a religious inclination please spare a prayer for them.

Thanks for the update. Let's hope he pulls through.
Great to see the community pulling together to ensure the young rider had the best possible chance.

Really hope he's ok, never like hearing about accidents involving a bike. But if it is the lad I'm thinking of who delivers (won't name what he looks like + the moped rides) he does tend to be a little gas heavy from time to time which has concerned me.

Young lads always feel they're invincible. The more sterile and risk free our society becomes, the further young guys will go to find a bit of a thrill. I'm not condoning any risk taking either on the road or by any other means but it's a natural fact that young guys take risks.
The latest update is that he's still in an induced coma while they monitor his recovery. He's still in intensive care and has significant injuries but is stable and they're happy with his progress so far.

Hi guys. Time for an update. lots has been happening on the scooter rider but nothing really I could post. However over the end of last week and the weekend he has bounced back like only a young person ever could. He is now not only fully concious but very well and looking forward to returning to work.

Many thanks to all of you out there who spared a little time to wish for his speedy recovery.

Glad to hear it. I rode like a complete nob myself at times when I was younger, took a few accidents to make me more sensible, so certainly hear what you are saying AASilencers.
