Budget Cuts!

I have just read a brief resume of the budget cuts and there are massive cuts in all departments except Foreign Aid which will increase to £11.5 billion by 2013 which equates to 0.7% of national income!

Why should Foreign Aid be exempt from the cuts?

It's a long standing UN commitment for wealthier nations to contribute 0.7% of GDP to aid.

You may think we are no longer a wealthy nation. In which case may i suggest sub-Saharan Africa as your next holiday destination. And not a safari.

Given the current fad for equating everything to the 'household budget'; with your £100 would you begrudge 70p for a cup of tea guv?

When those on benefits can afford sky subscriptions you cannot consider us anything but a wealthy nation.

Who stands up and lobbies for mentally ill ?

Cuts in NHS services in mental health are taking place right now despite Gideons rhetoric, now these poor people ( one in 4 of us come into this category ) will have little money or help . Expect to see more beggers, suicides and starvation alone amongst the seriously mentally ill with chronic conditions
