cheaper the white 74, £1.50 into town, get it on cannock road, but of course no good if you have an Arriva pass
I didn't know about that one. But then if it's not an Arriva bus, that explains why it wasn't on the Arriva journey planner, which is otherwise very good. (google Arriva journey planner)

My daughter used the no 3 bus to get to the dentist today (leaving from the bus stop by the Co-Op in Wildwood) and all was ok.
From what i understand, the no 3 has been reinstated as was - and at two an hour to boot - but Walton is now entirely unserved by buses.

Not sure what's happened this week, been getting the 825 to Weeping Cross from Gaol Square for months always cost me £2.30, but last 2 days (11th and 12th Jan) only cost me £1.50? but got the 74 going into town both days from Wildwood and £2.30?

Apparently Arriva's drop in fares on that route is their response to The Social Bus Company starting an alternative service (which serves Walton too, unlike Arriva). Trying to push out the competition.

I was in Australia not long back and travelled quite considerably, covering the majority of the major cities and used their public transport extensively. I have never seen such a vast difference in attitude between British public transport workers compared to our antipodean cousins. I'm sure the glorious weather has something to do with the laid back attitude and happy nature of each worker I encountered, but manners cost nothing.

Same applies to those little shits called passengers

It must be a struggle for bus drivers - traffic, driver and passenger behaviour, etc.

I suggest that I would be homicidal before lunchtime on the first day.

Having said that, I have been on a bus in Stafford two, possibly three, times in forty years.
