Business card machines?

Does anyone know anywhere locally that has the self-print business card machines please?

Need something basic in a hurry. I know the Guildhall had one by the door that comes out on the corner by the market, but I believe this might be gone.

Thanks

there used to be one in the potteries centre by the apple shop/poundland, might be worth giving them a call to see if its still there (01782 289822)

I have a stock of approx 60 blank business cards available, could knock you up something quickly if that's good for you.

I've screen captured your logo from your web site and have the basics of a card set up and ready to go.

@fatfrog - not that much of a hurry but don't want to wait 3 weeks for vistaprint or pay them stupid amounts to get them in 3 days ;)

@joshua - too far but thanks for the thought. Hoped to find one in Stafford.

@Ecker - thanks for your efforts, but it's not for my pc business. I was ideally looking for one of the machines as its only around 3 or 4 quid for 50 cards and they're clean cut edges like professionally printed ones. I've used the perforated business card sheets before but don't personally rate them much. Thanks for your thoughts though mate.

Might just swallow my pride on vistaprints fast delivery charges or wait the 3 weeks for cheaper delivery.

Fora low quantity but very high quality card you can create a colour image of the card and then print from the photo machines at most supermarkets.

My business cards are the peel off type, i.e. no perforation. If you get stuck and need some in a hurry, give me a shout.

@gilesuk that's a thought! I'd have never come up with that one! Do they do business card kinda sizes or just 6 x 4 smallest?

@ecker - I will do, thanks. Will let you know tomorrow if I'm stuck and thanks again for your efforts.

Cheers for all the ideas guys... I've ended up ordering 250 free ones from vistaprint for £3.70 delivery - I'll just have to be patient for a few weeks until they arrive.

You'd have to print up a few on a sheet and cut them up. A paper cutter or ruler and sharp knife would do it.

Cheers for this guys, I might have a play around.
At the cost of producing 6x4 cards it would be too costly, but if it can do 4 wallet prints on 1 6x4 or 7x5 that would be ideal.

Thanks

If you want a decent design for business cards and quality printing (instead of crappy vista print) then drop me a message as I've just set up as a freelance graphic designer after being made redundant.

For what I needed crappy vista print are just fine mate, and at £3.70 for 250 delivered I can't really moan.

If it were for my general business, then quality would matter more - but this was just something basic to dish out a private website address to people.

Thanks anyway, and would bear you in mind in teh future if I needed something of a higher standard.

Wmr be careful and check your statement I just came across a thread on moneysavingexpert and this was one of the posts

Vistaprint have caught loads of people out with this one, including my OH. Having said that he did receive an email beforehand to say they were going to start charging I think £9.95 a month.
They do it by offering you free business cards or prints.
He complained straightaway & they cancelled the payment without any problem.

This was the thread title

I've used vistaprint on many many occassions and have never had money taken that shouldn't be. I know they do a website thing for £9.95 a month, and they have many tick / untick type of offers you have to go through to get to checkout, so maybe people are accidentally purchasing something they don't need that way.

I'd say this must be around the 20th time in 5 years or so that I've used them, and at less than £4 delivery charge for 250 business cards I can't complain.

Of course, that doesn't mean it wouldn't ever happen and I'll certainly keep an eye on things incase, so thanks for the warning. ;)
