Car boot sales in Stafford.

Decided to go to Cock sparrow lane today instead of Stafford, not on and
doesn't appear to have been on at all judging by the state of
the field, there was a sign "Moved to Brocton 2 miles" but there
was no signs at Brocton and after a wander around in the van I gave up!

The path to the boot sale looks quite exotic at this time of year.

Enjoyed it today although it was cooler than expected (read f*ckin freezin!!).

Managed to get a lovely Vera Lynn album of songs from the war on vinyl, and an old Edith Piaf vinyl so happy with those, but my star purchase was 20 world cinema DVD's from top international directors for £7.50! They wanted 50 p each (lol) but I found 20 I liked and only had 7.50 left!!! Normally find maybe 1 world cinema dvd each week so to find 20 from one person and at only 50p made my week really!

And now the sun is shining so I want to sit out and read, rather than watch a film :)

Got a large folding step (small ones available too). Dunelm product marked at £9 and
selling for £3, still in wrapper. The bloke selling them has a white flat back vehicle and
is down by the far field in the third row.

..and a Sandvik Sandplate - a smaller, palm-held version of this.

I got a nice little heater for£1 that sits on the cooker in my van and
a windows 7 disc for 50p, I thought I had a real bargain, :yay: but
unfortunately it turned out to be a set of drivers for a brother printer!

Sorry, I know I'm not supposed to laugh but I did :). Perils of dodgy software?

Biggish again.

I got an almost unused Tefal steamer that looks identical to my Mum's one that has just failed after many year's sterling service.

and a Primus-branded, Trangia-compatible, gas burner, plus a few spare pans.

It seems to be an earlier version, with what looks, at first glance, to be a better-engineered valve arrangement.

Obviously, I do still need to investigate if this (slightly different) valve will slide comfortably into Withnail's hole.

Am I the only one who thinks thae carboot has been a bit crap recently? By that i mean there seems a marked increase in the number of large market stalls, and a big reduction in proper car booters? As I avoid anyone who looks like a marketeer or house clearance type of seller my choice has been declining weekly. Even more so considering the decent weather the past few weeks :(

You are not alone - it is definitely fading - which might be just as well, or it might be because I don't really want anything that I don't already have...

For the first time in four weeks I actually found something - a stack of greenhouse glass, 24x24 & 24x18, quite thick, too.

Rather lower volume at the shouty veg stand, I thought.
