No, it was/is the Guardian one for Saturday.

I'm feeling reasonably smug in that i have completed all but two answers without recourse to any reference material whatsoever.

The two that allude me are;
4d: Submarine detector sounds like a small boy (5) A_D_C
21ac: Slough disposal is after its first during reversion of Indian groom (7) E_D_S_S

But we digress...

I just wanted to add to the recommendations for Neon Jay, he replaced some boarding under our water tank earlier this week after we had a leak and did a great job. Friendly, efficient and enthusiastic.

Great job, thanks :)

I know it's not aimed at me, but I imagine neon jay will want to know if the walls are stud or brick/block.

I was going to ask that but I wasnt sure if it's a question they would be able to answer. But to help you out if its stud it more than likely wont be if it's brick it most probably will be. Obviously this isn't always the case with either.

I've been trying to type up a way to explain how to work it out properly for yourself but I've decided to give up and instead say google it.

Hi Slainte, have had a chat with my dad about this one, and this is certainly something we'd be interested in doing. Both Rikki and Catabatic are (pardon the pun) smack on the nail with regards to whether the walls are load-bearing or not, ie if the structure of the building is reliant on them being there. I'd also suggest getting a written report from a surveyor done beforehand so we know what can realistically be done, especially if your property is an older one.

As far as availability goes we'd have to look at after new year, if this suits your aunt and uncle. Out of interest, do you know what they want said walls replaced with, if anything?

what's the chances on removing a lock on a upvc multi locking door, the key's i have does open and lock the door but only comes out when the door is locked, be better if the key came out when the door was unlocked too. Not a huge thing though as am thinking it may be easier to just replace the back door.

If it's one of these -

- then you can change it yourself if it's still working.
