I know this is wishful thinking but don't you think that our council should have some moral duty to keep out companies like bright house that have an extortionate interest rate out of our town

Indeed not but the principle is the same.Not sure Kays ever got away with charging a 400% markup!
Also noticed the Cheque cashing shop in the row by MacGregors has closed, sign in Window pointing punters to Cash Converters.
I think these kinds of shops make it easy for burglars to quickly convert stolen goods into cash.

They check and record ID but probably the standards of proof are very lowAnyone use these type shops? Do they check much on if the property is actually yours?
Probably you can have it back if you can prove its yours. But who can do that?What's the legal position if you are burgled and find your stuff in there?
