Free! Cats for good homes

A friend of mine took in a stray cat, it turned out it was an unneutered female and the next thing he knew he had 6 cats, four of those were female and he was working his way through trips to the vets when the next thing he knew he had 9 cats. His neighbors have put in a complaint and his landlord has said they need to go. Despite about a million phone calls, no charities have been able to take then in. He has 4 females and four males, all black and white that he still needs to find homes for before August 5th (the date given to him by his landlord).

If anyone can take one or two please let me know, my friend is not asking for money for these cats, just for a loving home.

Couple of things...

Has your friend tried Catchat website?

I don't mind publicising elsewhere to see if anyone is interested. Would it be possible to keep the forum up to date with progress? The issue occurred the other day when a forum member posted about a dog needing a home then never posted again!

I guess your friend may well have this in mind - but ideally anyone who has a cat from them should agree to have them neutered/spayed.

Further quiz question - does the Aug 5th deadline take into account whether the kittens will be old enough to leave their mother?

Not sure about the Catchat - I will pass the info on.

All females have been neutered already although the males have not, to be honest although that would be great, he's more concerned about finding them good homes at the moment rather than having to get them put down because no one will take them. I have taken a male form him and he will be coming home via the vets! Although we're leaving him until the last day possible due to a house move.

Sorry I forgot to mention the ages, the oldest of the cats is about 3 years and the youngest litter are 10 months so they are cats rather than kittens, which is why he's having such a problem rehoming them - everyone wants a kitten.

Hi Bob,

We -RSPCA Stafford Wolverhamtpon and District Branch - cannot take the cats in unfortunately as we are bursting at the seams already and have a long waiting list but your friend could post details / photos of the cats on our Facebook page, which we can then also put on our website. We may be able to help with homechecks and if your friend wants to contact us directly we may be able to help with the cost of neutering the males. We can be contacted on 0845 310 2431

Spoke to my lot earlier,it's a no go - sorry. They're still grieving for the 1 we had put to sleep earlier this year. I hope your friend manages to find some lovely homes for the kittens x
