Have you tried using your mum/dad as the main driver and then you as a named driver, the other half did this for the first couple of years, if you go with Admiral you can earn your own no claims and them when you choose to go independently you get it a lot cheaper with the no claims x
the only problem with this is that if the insurance company believe that your mum/dad is not actually the main driver they can refuse to pay out. They've started getting a lot more strict on this over the past few years

Hi

Pass plus does still exist and will help will some places.

One thing that you might also be able to do is ride motorcycle for a while and then use your bike no claims on a car (some companies allow this).

Also avoid typical boy racer cars even if they have a low insurance group. Know someone a couple of years ago who had no long passed their test who found that they could insure a Jaguar XJ6 for less than a Ford Escort.

Car insurance has got very silly over the last few years.

All the best

My other half was unable to find a car insurer that would accept his bike no claims, would be interested to know who does :)
I think that if the car is registered in your parents name then they cant quiber to much about it!

That's strange, my OH has 2 bikes, and insured both without no claims as he got them in the first year of passing his bike test. I think he uses specialist bike insurers though.
