What are you lovely lot up to for Christmas?
I'm so disorganised this year, everything from July to now is a bit of a blur, I don't know where the time has gone.
New job hasn't helped with no accrued holiday and saving what I can for the Christmas week itself. First weekday at home for 3 months today!
Christmas shopping still isn't finished, wrapping has barely begun and my house looks like world war three has happened here. Other than that it's all good.
Plans for us are the same as usual, 17 this time for Christmas dinner, we've had the pre Christmas gathering already, so that was a mad dash to arrange the first wave of presents and cards and get them distributed. We managed to squeeze 21 around the dining table(s) so it should seem quite spacious for the main event!
The kids have had a visit to the cinema to see The Nutcracker and a couple of Santa visits but we've done very little so far in terms of Christmas activities, tree was up first week in November but the paper chains I bought in October are at the bottom of a drawer somewhere with grand plans to get them assembled and put up by next Christmas.
Most of the presents have been purchased, wrapped and distributed last weekend, kids are pretty much all purchased but both sets of parents are difficult to buy for and we've still got those to get, as well as wrapping most of the kids bits and assembling three scooters.
I've managed to get the bulk of the Christmas food shop done this morning but between the procrastinating with stuff like this I've achieved very little else, despite having a list as long as my arm to get done today, I think I need a fairy godmother, or a team of 10 cleaners, cooks and child-minders to pull Christmas together in time.
Please tell me I'm not the only one????
