Only part I really like is the marzipan and icing . All the ones I've had so far bit too rich for me. I buy a small sponge/lighter fruit cake/ Dundee cake instead.Thinking about it , Iv never even had a Christmas cake
Oh god no, that's for December only! Love christmas and do pick up bargain presents throughout the year but I'm still a member of the keep Christmas in December club! That's what keeps it special surely, that it's not all the time!?For those that get really excited about hearing Christmas music (Me - ALL year round!!) Heart Xmas is now available on your DAB radio!!!
Well that's me out for listening to it on my car radio (only radio I've got). Just looked up the manual and it hasn't got DAB . But finding that out , discovered after 6 years driving it has heated door mirrors , and bluetooth which I haven't got the foggiest how to work....For those that get really excited about hearing Christmas music (Me - ALL year round!!) I will join Shane McGowan in a killeroake car version on FairyTale of New York 24hrs a day if I could. Last year I wrote on my calendar at the end of November 'Do NOT buy any more Xmas cards!!!'Every year I buy a box of Christmas cards. Every year I can never find those from the year before. Yes, my home is a tip, but it's an organised tip. I can put my hand on almost everything but the bloomin' Christmas cards!!
I always get mine after Christmas in the Sainsburys sale. Then put them in a safe place. It's so safe, I never put them with the previous years ones!Last year I wrote on my calendar at the end of November 'Do NOT buy any more Xmas cards!!!'
Every year I forget that I stashed some from the previous years sale!!
I've made gift tags out of old christmas cards before , although splashed out on some cheapo ones for this year in the sales last year.I’ve bought blank ones from the range and told the kids to do nice pictures, they’re both quite artistic (they don’t get that from me) and family especially seem to appreciate the personal touch. Same for gift tags.
I've also picked up a few bargains and stored, always in the bottom drawer so I can find them! Unbelievably my family chat has queries already about what people would like. Unheard of!I now have 6 presents bought and sort of stored away. Loosely stored because I will never find them if I put them away in a safe place. I have yet to announce to the younger sister that I won't be doing the dinner at her place this year.................
