Back when i used to write the odd shit tune or two, I remember the holy grail of amplifier technology was vintage valves.. People craved that fuzzy, warm valve sound - hell, the most well-respected bass craftsman, Dillinja, even named his bowel-shaking eardrum-popping custom rig after it..
I was reminded of this today while browsing the intertubes, looking for a compact but flashy new amp to replace my 15yr old Sony separates, and I came across the Fatman series:

At £249 it ain't cheap, but hot damn I want it.. Has anyone come across them in real life, by any chance? Or got any recommendations for other nice, small amps - valve or otherwise?
I only need 2 inputs, really - one for my iPad, and one for my decks (single stereo line-level output from a mixer) - so the above, whilst expensive, is plenty for my needs..
Basically, I want something that is small, will sound great, and looks tasty/will be a bit of a talking point..
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
