Had a wee jaunt into Stoke-on-Trent and Hanley on the train today! Barely a mask in sight.
No-one was wearing masks on the train down to Euston either. On the tubes they are announcing all the time that masks should be worn both inside the station and on the trains unless excempt. Seems to be quite a few exempt...... ( mainly family tourists)

Always remember that you are not the best judge of the state you're in, when you're in a bit of a state.
Very true, the carer had threatened me with 999 a few times, but I thought he was just trying to get me carted off so he could watch football & do general man things, in peace!

I remember you telling us you had been poorly and had passed out on the floor for sometime a few years back, so you are number 1 criminal at not knowing how poorly you can get without realising.

@basil do you need anything? Any shopping, medicines? Anything? Please let us know if you do!

Perfectly reasonable ruse.

I rest my case - or at least myself, at the bottom of the stairs, overnight.

A daily report would nice, in case we panic and send a yellow van round...

Oh @basil call emergency services or 111 if you go downhill quickly, I didn't realise how ill I was and ended up carted off in an ambulance from the Dr's.
Look after yourselves @basil and ring for an ambulance if you get worse. My friend ended up being carted off on blue lights at day 11 after testing positive ( ok now though with getting whisked into hospital). That was pre- jab days though!

Cornwall and The Isles of Scilly (guess where I'm going tomorrow) have been put in Enhanced Response Measures. As far as I can see so far, all that is is to recommend that people wear a mask. Isn't that what the guidance is now?!!!

People who pass through and go to Scilly are less likely to be, er, silly.

Just be extra vigilant on the mainland section.

Oh absolutely, we have to wear a mask on the ferry and all shops over there are asking that you do too. The problem is it will get parcelled up with anything that happens in Cornwall.

Indeed, a sort of reverse situation to lumping Réunion in with the rest of France.
