Might be worth another look on the dates. Seemed loads for Sunday available in great wryley. Not sure on the Stafford hubs though

Don't believe there are any walk-ins in Stafford at present. There have been in the past when demand was lower. If you turn up without an appointment to non walk-in sessions you will be turned away.

Walk-ins were jabbed yesterday at Holmcroft . Unless something has changed overnight you are unlikely to be refused if your timings are as advised. It will be very busy as 1,000 plus are booked in

Useful to know. I'd herd people turned away from Kingston centre for not having appointment. I take it walk-ins are open to all 30+

I'm not going to be going anywhere that's populated other than Sainsburys twice between now and the 22nd so I think I'll wait until my booked appointment, let the people who need the walk-ins get them.

Be aware that for the next 2 to 3 months staffing levels in all sectors are likely to be dramatically hit with isolations, including NHS suppliers, staff and associated volunteers.

Change is inevitable

Whilst the early data from South Africa remains very encouraging regarding severity, it certainly seems likely that Omicron's transmissibilty is very high.

So, yes, I think in the short term with lots of people impacted, there will be a double whammy of high demand for certain services and less people available to provide those services.

Don't worry, Boris will save us.

As part of my continuing investigation into coronavirus vaccine reactions, I now have established that significant post-vaccine under-the-weatheredness is possible with two out of three jabs.

I wouldn't normally be having my breakfast at this time of day - that has been a significant clue...

Covid level increased to level 4. Looking more likely this Christmas might be similar to last year

Unless, of course, you've moved to Anchorage.

I stopped off in Anchorage once on a flight from Japan to the UK, (goes over the top.) We had a couple of hours in the airport, so as I went for a wander I came across a magnificent stuffed Polar Bear in a glass case. Have to give it to the taxidermist, he'd got the bear standing up on its hind legs, claws outstretched, literally the stuff of nightmares.
What spoilt the effect was a plaque at the bottom which described the features of the rifle used to kill it, calibre, muzzle velocity, shot distance. A formidable creature blown away by human technology. Only in America I thought. Get me back on the f**king plane and bound for blighty.
