Stopping people being idiots in shops. That's what's needed. I've been nowhere since march. People just don't give a shit.
I couldn't agree more, 10000 percent.
But... Those of us who work in shops have NO power to tell people what to do or how to do it.
Yesterday, I had an adult male, about 10 years older than me, scream abuse at me for nearly 10 minutes because another customer wasn't wearing a mask, he told me that I was 'farking disgusting for allowing him in the store,, and it's my fault that people are dying from covid', I have no powers to tell that person to put on a mask, I can only offer them a free one if they don't have one, the customer did have a mask, but it had slid down.... The older male came back twice to shout abuse at me, for something I cant control, I ended up calling security to have him removed from the store. Its so intimidating. No one should have to put up with this.
If I had my way, you would all have to queue outside again, only one person per household would be allowed in, if you had no mask you would be deemed vulnerable and at risk so unable to enter my place of work, you would queue to pay... But its not my choice. Profits over people. What the f**k does my opinion matter. None of us workers feel safe.
*not a rant at you
@MilleD, just a general rant
