If my folks get an appointment at MP I'm not sure I could get them there legally. There's no way dad can drive to Birmingham and, as there are two of them they can't legally be in my bubble, so I'd be on dodgy ground taking them there if stopped by plod.Birmingham.
I think this is the problem with the supply and where it's getting to. He's also booked his second appointment, 11 weeks later.
Or it could be like during the early days of booking a covid test, when you could find yourself booked in in Carlisle or somewhere hours away.I think you are allowed to take people on medical trips.
I think this is the national booking service Johnson was on about so in a few days more local places will appear, once they have the supply chain.
He had a choice of where to book, but MP was the closest.
The army are involved which makes me feel like it'll go better. I also think it's them almost admitting outsourcing didn't work.
Do you? Spill the beans. You don't know much about the army do you
Do you? Spill the beans.
Dad's had a letter this morning asking him to book one online. He protested as it's at Millennium Point, but off were going on Monday afternoon.
My 92year old F-I-L had his second Pfizer jab at the showground on Wednesday, 3 weeks to the day after his first one, quick & efficient service.Millennium Point?
What's wrong with the showground!
My folks have still heard nothing...
And next winter, when we're in some sort of lockdown again, people will continue to say 'No one else would have done anything differently.'Every decision made on the Nightingale Hospitals has been wrong
Expect chaos
Also expect vaccination delays
Government has had a year, or if they had really prepared , several years, to roll out and enlist and train staff, returning retired staff and volunteers, logistics teams and emergency planners to mass vacinate a population.
Instead, and as 50,000 NHS workers become ill or isolated, they expect exhausted nurses doctors to do everything
Nothing is learnt
I think that's the most astonishing thing
The epidemic may have caught countries like ours out when it started because we hadn't planned for it, but once you know of its existence you would expect Government to plan 3 , 4 , 5 stages ahead, for multiple scenarios so there was a clear decision making tool to work from
Government has learnt nothing from a years worth of tragically wrong decisions
And is continuing to fail to learn and failing to plan
Outrageous that they remain and remain convinced of any ability
Despite the fact that almost every country in the world did much better than us.And next winter, when we're in some sort of lockdown again, people will continue to say 'No one else would have done anything differently.'
I'd never even heard of Beacon Park Hospital. Didn't realise there was a private hospital there (Or any of the other new places in that area until googling it)Someone I got some shopping for yesterday got a letter giving him a vaccine appointment at Beacon Park Hospital in a couple of weeks.
Indeed. Whilst private hospitals can't really help with ITU they certainly have plenty of people who can vaccinate.I'd never even heard of Beacon Park Hospital. Didn't realise there was a private hospital there (Or any of the other new places in that area until googling it)
