If anyone is planning to travel at weekends in December Cross Country trains has announced a series of strike dates as follows
9th and 10th Dec
24th Dec
31st Dec
A poster at the station says they will running a severely reduced service but doesn't give any more details.
It will screw up my plans for getting the train and having some beers for the Manchester derby match.
FYI Cross Country run train services (very poorly as it goes) between Birmingham and Manchester and Penzance to Edinburgh via York and Newcastle. Other train operators run these routes as well but they'll be busy and you'll probably have to change trains en route e.g. Change at Stoke for Manchester, etc.
