Big Cuffy to Royal Mail who left me a missed delivery card on Saturday but didn't bother filling in the numbers so that I could track it and rearrange the delivery.

Then when I went to collect it from Newport Road today this notice greeted me.

What use are those opening times to anybody especially people who work?

Ended up trying to find the postie on the estate and luckily he did have my parcel on the van.
Well today the Royal Mail has exceeded their outstanding level of shite service.

I was expecting a delivery before 19.00 today but no knock on the door at all.

I've just been out to my bins and found my delivery inside the blue recycling bag FFS.

I don't understand why they can't knock on the door and wait for people to answer.

Good job I wasn't away or it's not recycling collection day!!!

They've done that many times and left a card. But sometimes they just moved my blue bin closer to the front door as their way of indicating this. But yep, those opening times are utterly hopeless now.

After buying a second hand series 3 BMW I had all pads and discs replaced by a well known auto repair centre in Stafford, it was on a guaranteed for life scheme. A couple of years later i had an MOT test at same place, had a call to say it had failed on pads and discs, I told them it was fine, replace all that you think are necessary, when i went to collect it, I was presented with a huge bill by a smug looking guy, I reminded him of the guarantee in place, I could see from his expression that he was thinking "boll*cks, I missed that on the system..

It may all just depend on the individuals working on your 'run'.

I had a string of deliveries on my recent sojourn in Stafford - 'Royal' Mail, Hermes/Evri, DPD and others - all ran like clockwork, with no issues at all.

I think you have hit the nail on the head, I have no issues at all with any of them, not the case when I lived at Victoria Terrace, but here, no issues.

Me neither. Royal Mail delivery man is great, use Evri home deliver for my Vinted orders and that's great too. I'm not a big fan of Yodel or Hermes tho and avoid them and those locker things like the plague!

I’ve had loads of issues with Evri and avoid them where possible. But to be fair to them when I’ve had deliveries from them recently they have been ok. So hopefully have got their act together. Would still never trust them with next day delivery.

They rebranded so people would think it was a new company. As far as I am aware nothing changed behind the scenes.
Yeah maybe not but my personal customer experience has been 100% positive since the rebranding and it was dire before that

Back in the 70s, when ferries were a bit more barbaric than they are now, I had a traumatic 28 hour Irish Sea crossing. As soon as the vessel left the harbour, sick bags were being handed out. These were basically paper bags, much in the style that sugar is sold in, but a bit bigger and open at the top, ready for filling.

These receptacles soon were fairly full, and, with the violence of the ship's motion, there was no means to dispose of them, so they were propped up all over the place, ready for topping up, as necessary.

On several occasions, I saw people carefully lift up their bag, to add to the contents, only to have the base give way and deposit about a litre of (now cold) puke, straight into their lap.

I will always remember the slogan emblazoned on the bags - "For Your Convenience And Comfort"

Shop workers have a hard time, especially at Christmas when many people lack the manners they were born with: I know, I worked in the service industry for eight years before moving on to something better! However, at times some people are just not suited to the role of shop assistant.

Take for example, the young "man" who was rude to my wife and her wheelchair using mother this afternoon in Tescos. My wife made a polite request to do with her Mums disability and received an abusive reply in return. Thank your lucky stars that I was not in attendance as the matter could have gone one of two ways: the least distressing for you would be the loss of your job following my complaint to the senior management.

Tescos. If you are going to employ people, at least ensure they are trained and not rude morons.
