I just had a guy knock on my door who said he was from LoveFilm. Fairly biggish-built African-origin man with big hair, in a suit. Mid-late 20's. He has a very cheap looking ID card with no holograms on or anything.
Apparently because of the Amazon takeover, he can get you a better deal that what you may already have. But, he will ask you to put your email address and credit/debit card details into his iPad. When questioned about the security of this, he said he could use my WiFi key and use my internet to sign me up, or enter my property and do it at my computer. Sound dodgy? It could be all legit, but this could easily be a door-to-door phishing scam, and LoveFilm should not really be doing things this way.A simple card with a personalised promo code will do, thanks.
So please, be wary of this.
