Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

Can anyone do pass plus? Not just teenagers?
If so, then you might be right, it could help. I passed my test at the fifth attempt, a long time ago. On that occasion, I donned my sensible driving shoes before putting the key in the ignition. Only to find that I had tied my feet together. I suspect the examiner was just glad to get out alive and didn't want me coming back.
Two accidents haven't helped. The first was when I had just started learning. It happened at Browning Street by the Four Crosses and swiftly backed traffic up all those roads. Ambulances, shouting, mayhem. The second was more recent and not my fault - I was in the car behind the collision. A motorcyclist was killed and I couldn't do anything to help him. I just looked at his face and thought of his family, having a perfectly normal day, then in a moment, changed forever.
I did wonder about doing the advanced driving thing to see if that helped my confidence but the helpless laughter that greeted my suggestion convinced me it wasn't one of my better ideas!

I believe so - most instructors do it too as far as I know. It may or may not help - but it may make your world a little bigger :)

Too bad about the accidents, very sad. Glad to hear you didn't give up on driving though!

Edit: haha G, not a bad idea that. I'm not convinced it would help nerves, but next time I'm on track you're welcome to jump in for a few laps flossie!

Perhaps you could take her for a little spin to settle her nerves..?

That's amazing - did you see the speed the hedge was moving!!!
Radio 2 is on my PC in the background - the video was surprisingly good with Will Young's latest as the soundtrack. Like something out of Miami Vice.

You both live out in yokelsville and so could chat about silage - or whatever else excites you.

I'll have to remember that the next time I'm out on track!

That was a good day - I was pushing quite hard in places in that video - hence why I'm not convinced it would be good for settling the nerves of a nervous driver (or passenger, for that matter)

Or indeed, their stomach.

I have to say flossietoo, I am a shocking driver, came to it late in life passing my test in my late 30's, on the second attempt and as both my wife and daughter tell me regularly, not being much cop I tend to cycle most places now. Not been involved in accidents as such, but have been involved in general, pardon me French, dumbfuckery. Reversing into a lamppost, leaving the oilcap off for a month, letting my mot lapse by 3 months, going through a carwash with windows open, idiotic stuff really, as well as pulling out numerous times and not seeing motorists bearing down on me. Its best that I spend my time on the train and on my bike with occasional trips out to Sainsburys to keep the cider supplies topped up.

Oh dear! I'd be careful with the oil cap though, if anything comes out the top of the engine and drops on the road you may be responsible for another person crashing. That and moisture getting in there is no good :o

Plonker or successful person enjoying the fruits of his labours.
No fan of big 4x4's myself (used to run a couple of smaller ones) but don't have a problem with them either.

I have a particular dislike of BMW X5s, on the whole they tend to be a vehicle of choice for bullies/ plonkers. Stereotyping I know, but think I've yet to find an exception to the rule. They are also utterly pointless as 4x4s as if you wanted any off road capability you would not buy an X5 as they're useless.

As regards fruits of labour, surely there are much better motors you could spend that sort of money on!!

Stereotyping indeed.
'Better' motors, surely comes down to personal preference. Have to say whilst an X5 wouldn't be my first choice if I was in the market for a prestige car, obviously it is for many people.

I frequently see people who sit in the outside lane of the A449 dual carriageway to Wolverhampton travelling at 50mph for no apparent reason.

Also, the national speed limit on a dual carriageway is 70mph not 60mph. So don't glare at me for knowing the law and safely overtaking you, old man in a flat cap.

Myself and Mr Grigson were followed all the way from Stone down the A34 last Sunday by a van that stayed in the right-hand lane the whole way. I was so hoping that he would turn left onto Beaconside, but he turned right on to the link road - without any indication, though...

Big clap to the driver of the black car on thursday when stafford was blocked (yet again!) because of an accident on the m6. Coming up to the gaol island past sainsburys, lights green all well.........next set of lights, heading for the left lane to go up gaol road, this black car raced around me and then cut me up causing me to brake!
Being in a driving instuctor car with L plates ect, I would have thought you would have had more sense........I pity the poor drivers who pay you to learn them to drive, but can see why there are loads of crap drivers around if they end up taking lessons with you and thats the way you teach them...Good job you hadnt got a client in the car with you at the time......Dick!

I find vegetarians to be bores/plonkers, luckily I have met the odd exception to the rule. God knows what you have against BMW drivers though, its Audi drivers that are all *****! ;)

EDIT: As for the bad drivers, get one of these then post their sillyness online.
