Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

Enjoying a drop of red.
It's better than most, and i too use it when in that neck of the woods - but then i am almost always cycling recreationally when doing so, so time is never a factor.

My favourite thing about the 'perfectly good cycle path' is that is almost invariably spotted by those that have never actually used it.
My favourite 'perfectly good cycle path' is along the Tixall Road.

Bostin, as they say.

Just been passed by something going hell for leather on my side of the road in the opposite direction, closely followed by two police vehicles, as I drove into town on the Lichfield Road past the old Frankie and Benny's. (I say 'just' .... it was about 7:30pm.)

And as I returned, we were passed by an ambulance with blues-and-twos at Weeping Cross on its way down the Cannock Road.

I followed a DSA Driving Standards Agency vehicle down Stone Road, today and when it got onto the dual carriageway in front of the Waggon and Horses, it got into the right hand land and did a U-Turn onto the opposite side and parked in the bus stop layby? Am I missing something?

VOSA vehicle also did exactly that today at about 4pm.

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
Amazon driver making a delivery in our road drove past a telegraph pole, pulled up onto the path and then proceeded to reverse straight into the same telegraph pole.

After the big crash he pulled forward, got out and found a huge dent in the rear doors and a telegraph pole and an angle which wasn’t 90°.

This also happened around 9 or 10 years ago. I think a lady was injured waiting in the bus stop. My son and I used to catch the bus home from here daily. We witnessed many near misses by careless drivers coming out of the side road opposite. I asked for the bus shelter to be replaced and dangerous metal bits of old bus shelter be removed as 2 local primary schools nearby.

A worrying development, with passengers as much as drivers.
Today I finished work and drove to Tesco, then back home again. Probably about 6 mile round trip. In this time I witnessed, on 3 occasions, people jumping out of cars onto the road, at junctions or lights, while traffic was moving, around them. On each occasion, there was probably a pulling in spot, within a matter of yards. Cyclists or other motorists could be put at risk, as well as yourself. Redhill roundabout coming from Stone direction, 2 people got out of a truck or van as the traffic was about to start moving. Somebody did similar on Chell Road, then two youngsters got out of a car in the right hand lane of the Newport Road traffic by the park and ran across the oncoming traffic.

I believe we call this one “natural selection”

Three times today, I have had (three different) drivers stop in front of me, indicating to turn right, when there has been a perfectly good (and vacant) right turn space available in the middle of the road - can there be a genuine reason* for this?

Holmcroft Road off Eccleshall Road.
Parkside Avenue off Beaconside.
The B5066 turn to Sandon off Beaconside.

* apart from the obvious...

Not poor driving, but very poor parking.

Yesterday, a very busy Saturday on Queens retail park where people were searching for a space we came across a car taking up two spaces.
The driver returned to his car to see me taking a picture and asked what the problem was.

After I pointed out that he'd taken up two spaces he said "I don't understand what the problem is... it's a free car park. People can take up as many spaces as they want"

When I said that on a busy Saturday spaces were hard to find and that it was unbelievably selfish to take up two, he just replied that he didn't care and gave me the finger.

How delightful.
