Ooo, and just before i go - i had rather thought i'd set myself up earlier,
I said:
You really shouldn't feel the need to sound like a tw@ every time you have something to share.
and was fully expecting an answer along the 'well-it's-never-stopped-you' lines.

I had the fencing :google: doodle -

Everything about the Olympics, from the athletes to the performances (from every nation) and the events to the presentation from the BBC has been a roaring and hugely mammoth success, well done World ...especially Team GB which includes each one of us, who lives in GB!

It's a well deserved break from the drab and dreadful, that we've come some so well accustomed to hearing about, via the slim box in the corner and magic devices in our hands and on our laps.

Horse dancing now on, what an odd sport!
moyles[sup]*[/sup] said this morning that dressage was like "a horse being sarcastic", which i thought summed it up perfectly lol.. it really does look like a horse doing horsey things, but in a really facetious way.. "oh, look at me - i'm a horse, i'm cantering! now i'm doing a little hop! you imbeciles " lol

[sup]* i know moyles is like marmite - if you want to comment on how much you hate him or whatev's there's a thread for that.[/sup]

I see some enterprising soul is selling bottles of olympic spirit on ebay, I think we need to store some container loads so that we can release it come a cold wet November day when we are back to moaning and groaning and how crap this country is.
But those days seem years away as I sit here on a nice warm summers evening drinking a beer listening to some neighbours having a loud bbq(I'm not jealous honest). I didn't expect the Olympics to be so good and I'm amazed how many people have got into them and it seems the games has replaced the weather as the conversation of choice.
Maybe being British we are pessimistic over things but you only have to go back to the Queens 60th Jubilee to realise that we are pretty good at putting events on and the general public getting all enthusiastic over a major event.
Yes the Olympics has cost a fortune but as our governments are adept at spending 100s of billions of pounds, I would say it has been money well spent and has given the UK a great boost and hopefully pave the way for alot of inward investment

All three of the team GB horses are being put up for sale. Evidently victory has meant that their value has increased dramatically. By that logic, since our athletes received national funding, we probably own them and could sell them to help pay off the national debt. Australia might take a few. The French might splash out on some cyclists if they bring their own magic wheels.
