Looks promising.

Bios will be replaced by UEFI (effy or yeffy?) next year which should mean PC's will boot a lot faster.

haven't macs been using EFI for years? that's why you can't just stick a windows installation disc in and boot from it, cos even thought they're identical hardware to PCs these days they don't have a BIOS..

i don't see how it will make PCs boot that much faster.. it will just reduce the time between turning your PC on and your OS starting to load.. if your OS takes ages to load then EFI won't have any effect on it at all!

when i first got my imac, it turned on pretty much instantly.. but, as with all computers, as time goes by and i've installed more crap on it, the startup time has slowed down due to all the startup processes..
